Hello Family.
I am here with news of the passing of a special woman who has been a hugely influential member of our family.
Aunt Gladys passed early Wednesday morning, February 11, 2009, at the age of 92. She was holding her son Frankie’s hand when she left us.
Aunt Gladys was born 21 December 1916 Salt Lake City, Utah to George Leslie Price and Emma Lois Hadler. She married Uncle Fritz (Frank) Ortega 26 Aug 1939 in South San Francisco California.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank in 1981, son Vic in 1945 and daughter Susie in 1996. She is survived by sons, Frank and Gordon, daughter Patty, grandson Jason and foster daughters Francine and Frances.
Aunt Gladys was instrumental in documenting the Ortega family history from our grandparents leaving Spain for Hawaii and eventually settling in San Francisco. She also kept track of events in our lives. Her documentation and research is the foundation for the Ortega family history we have today.
If your faith is as strong as hers, you will know she has gone home, free from the constraints of an aging body and mind, and is once again gloriously united with her beloved Fritz, and all those she loved who passed ahead of her.
God Bless and Welcome You Home Aunt Gladys.
Karyn Mari & Julianne
